A credit is a unit of her effort, and heavy thinking costs more of it than a quick look-up — which is the whole reason there is a meter at all. A flat unlimited price has to be set high enough to cover the heaviest month anybody could have, and then the light users pay for the heavy ones.

If a month runs long
